What it is: A single-component, high-build, fibre-reinforced, elastomeric acrylic coating designed for waterproofing roofs. It is applied in multiple layers (minimum 3 recommended) to form a seamless, flexible, and durable membrane.

Primary Function: To provide a robust, waterproof barrier that bridges hairline cracks and withstands weather exposure. Its key advantage is that it can often be applied directly onto existing sound surfaces without the need for demolition, saving time and cost.

Q1: Can this be applied directly over my old existing roof?

A: Yes, provided the existing substrate (concrete, brickbat coba, screed) is sound and stable. All loose, spalled, or disintegrated material must be removed and repaired first. The surface must be clean and free of oil, grease, and dirt.

Q2: What primer should I use?

A: The TDS specifically recommends FloArm Primer EPW-44, a two-component epoxy-based primer. It has a pot life of 30 minutes once mixed and must be applied on a damp (SSD - Saturated Surface Dry) surface. The waterproofing coat is applied while the primer is still tacky.

Q3: What is the coverage area?

A: The consumption rate is 0.75 kg per square meter per coat. For the recommended 3-coat system, you will need 2.25 kg per square meter.

Example: A 25 kg bucket will cover approximately 11 sq. meters for a 3-coat system (25 kg / 2.25 kg/m = 11.1 m).

Q4: How thick will the coating be?

A: Three coats will achieve a Dry Film Thickness (DFT) of approximately 1 mm.
