About MYK AQUA ARM DUCT TAPE

AquaArm Duct Tape A cold-applied, flexible, self-adhesive waterproofing tape. It is a double-sided tape with pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) on both sides, reinforced with a high polymer film in the middle. Both adhesive sides are protected by a removable release film.

Primary Function: To provide a quick and effective waterproofing seal for treating structural details, such as overlaps and joints, by creating an instant adhesive bond on both sides.

Q1: How do I apply the AquaArm Duct Tape?

Ensure the substrate is perfectly clean, dry, and free from oil, dust, or moisture. Liquid water will ruin the bond.

Peel off the release film from one side and press the tape firmly onto the first surface.

Peel off the release film from the other side and press the second surface onto the tape.

Apply firm pressure to ensure a strong bond on both sides.

Q2: What are the critical precautions for using this tape?

Temperature: Do not apply if the temperature is below +5C.

Weather: Do not apply on rainy days or on wet surfaces.

Heat & Sunlight: The tape has a tendency to debond in hot weather or direct sunlight. It is explicitly stated as "Not suitable for hot weathering." For such conditions, the TDS recommends applying the tape twice (double layer) to prevent debonding before concreting.
