 91 000 74051 Feviseal HY-100 is a one-component, moisture-curing, low-modulus hybrid sealant (silyl-modified polymer) engineered to combine the benefits of polyurethane & silicone sealants. It offers excellent elasticity, adhesion, durability, and resistance to UV, weather, and aggressive atmospheres. It cures without sagging and is solvent / isocyanate-free.

Q1. What joints is HY-100 suitable for?

It is suited for expansion, construction, control joints, and materials that move due to temperature or structural shifts. It also works between different building materials.

Q2. Is primer needed?

In most cases no primer is necessary. But for continuously wet or highly porous surfaces, using a primer (or Pidiprime A) may improve adhesion. 

Q3. Can it be used on damp surfaces?

Yes, it is damp surface tolerant. However, too much water (ponding) may affect curing. 

Q4. What is the joint depth vs width ratio?

For joints of 6-12 mm width, the depth should be 1:1. For wider joints (12-25 mm), depth half the width (2:1 ratio to width). 

Q5. What temperature range is good for application?

Recommended application range is roughly 5 C to 40 C. Storage and pre-conditioning may help at cold temps. 

Q6. What surfaces should it not be used on?

Natural stone joints that may stain. 

Constantly chlorinated water immersion (pools, spa) or salt water immersion. 

Bituminous surfaces, some plastics like PP, PE, Teflon etc.
