91 000 74051 Dr. Fixit Crack-X Paste A ready-to-use, fibre-reinforced, polymer-modified acrylic paste (putty) designed specifically for filling and sealing hairline cracks in plastered walls. It is a single-component product that requires no mixing.

Primary Function: To provide a flexible, permanent, and paintable seal for non-structural cracks on interior and exterior surfaces, preventing them from reappearing.

Q1: What is the maximum crack width it can fill?

A: It is designed for cracks up to 5 mm wide. For cracks larger than 5 mm, a different repair mortar or method is required.

Q2: How do I prepare the crack before application?

Clean the crack of all dust, oil, grease, and loose particles.

Widen fine hairline cracks to a minimum width of 3-5 mm using a scraper, creating a 'V' groove for better adhesion.

Dampen the surface with water before applying the paste.

Q3: What is the application process?

Prime (Optional but recommended): Apply a primer made by mixing a small amount of Crack-X Paste with water.

Fill: When the primed surface is tacky, press the paste firmly into the crack using a putty knife, ensuring no air bubbles are trapped.

Smooth: Level it flush with the surrounding surface.

Dry: Allow it to dry for 4-6 hours. It is fully ready for painting after 8 hours.

Q4: Can I paint over it?

A: Yes, absolutely. After it is fully dry (wait at least 6-8 hours), you can overcoat it with any polymer-based paint.

Q5: Can it be used on POP (Plaster of Paris) surfaces?

A: No. The TDS explicitly states it is not for cracks in POP or painter's putty. Existing POP must be completely removed down to the base plaster surface before application.
