91 000 74051 CICO No. 2 Plugging Liquid An extra-fast setting, red-colored liquid admixture used to instantly stop active, high-pressure water leaks in concrete structures. It is a plugging compound, not a general waterproofing agent.

Primary Function: To react extremely rapidly with cement, causing it to set within 30-60 seconds. This creates an instantaneous plug to stop water gushing through holes, cracks, and pipe penetrations.

Q1: How do I use CICO No. 2 to stop a leak?

Prepare the Hole: Chip the leaking hole to form a concave shape (wider inside, narrower at the entrance).

Prepare the Plug: Mix Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) with 30-40% of its weight in CICO No. 2 liquid to form a stiff, putty-like gel.

Plug the Leak: Quickly press this gel mixture firmly into the prepared hole.

Hold: Maintain firm pressure on the plug for 4-5 minutes until it sets and the leak stops.

Q2: Can I dilute it with water?

A: No. Absolutely not. The TDS explicitly states: "It cannot be diluted with water." You mix the liquid directly with dry cement.

Q3: How fast does it work?

A: It is incredibly fast:

Initial Setting Time: 30 to 60 seconds.

Plug Formation: A watertight seal is achieved within 4-5 minutes of application under pressure.

Q4: Is it compatible with all types of cement?

A: It is designed for use with Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC). The TDS states it is "not compatible with other admixtures." Do not use it with fly ash-based cement (PPC) or any other mix that contains other chemicals.

Q5: What is the shelf life?

A: 18 months from the date of manufacture when stored in its original, unopened container in a cool place, protected from extreme heat.

Q6: Is it safe to handle?

A: It is non-toxic and non-flammable. However, it is highly alkaline. You must wear gloves and safety glasses to prevent skin and eye contact.
